Jacqueline’s aunt Dorothea learned of her niece’s death in Hamburg from Günther Schwarberg in 1979. Her children, Henri and Françoise Morgenstern, have often come to the ceremony commemorating the victims of the murders at Bullenhuser Damm on 20 April. Henri Morgenstern is a founder member of the Children of Bullenhuser Damm Association and actively pursues criminal proceedings.
