About us
Children of Bullenhuser Damm e.V.
Our association was founded in 1979, when relatives of those murdered at Bullenhuser Damm came together for the first time. Some had traveled from far away and they wanted to do more than just mourn and remember. They wanted to become active!
As the children of Bullenhuser Damm e.V., the relatives joined forces with committed Hamburg residents:
- To secure the memorial at the site of the crime.
- To keep in touch with each other and to meet again at the next memorial service.
- To pass on the memory and an awareness of democracy and human rights to future generations.
- For the fight against neo-fascism and anti-Semitism.
Then as now, there are not many of us. Our members come from Hamburg, Germany and the world: from everywhere where the history of the children and their families has left its mark.
Anyone and everyone can get involved with us.
